Thread OP

My blue daze is growing in a pot on my deck by the ocean in daytona beach. It blooms but the leaves are starting to curl. What should i do?

Hi, welcome!

If the leaves are curling up, then there is a good chance that they are not getting enough moisture. Although you are coastal, these plants do typically receive direct moisture spray in their natural environment. It would probably be beneficial to your plant to start misting it once a day to supplement any moisture it is not receiving. I say mist, and not water, because I assume that you are meeting it's watering needs. Just mist the leaves to add moisture and it should be fine.

Definitely! Just try the misting and let us know how it's doing. It should be warming up there nicely, as it is here in Corpus Christi. I have had to start misting my tropicals periodically already, because our temps have gotten up into the 90s already on some days.

If it's blooming, then it's probably not a nutrient issue. Are they turning brown on edges or feel stiff? Or are they curling and "going limp"?

Share pics if you have them!
