@lestv joined me last weekend for a muddy iris expedition. I went back today to grab our goods and snap a few more pics in the sun.

I'm currently doing a "dip before I ship", so more pics on the way.

So much prettier in sun!

I had a blinding rainstorm to drive through on my way there last Saturday and it had hit Thelma's before it got to me.

So my photos will be soggy iris and Gabe's new ones will be much happier iris since the weather is perfect today!

The iris field: Top portion. There are 60 some rows of iris in the entire field, and each iris has a large space in which to increase. And unfortunately for the weeds to grow. The field is next to Thelma's home and two of her daughter's live on either side so the family has a nice continuous tract of land.



P.S. There is a bird living in that birdhouse that almost took my head off while I walked by.

DISCLAIMER : We could only go by the tags for iris ID. And trust me when I say that finding MANY of the tags was a challenge! A fun challenge, but a real bear of a one too.

The Tag - the numbers are row then iris number in that row. This was one of the easy ones to find!

I'll be adding some soggy ones too, dont worry. My camera/phone fell into a paint bucket last night, so my phone kept displaying a overheating message. I rice bagged it the whole timeI was able to capture some though on my cheap Nikon and cell.

Some pics will show as noIDs. Too many lost tags, though I found about 15 detailed picture albums after the fact including rows and lot #'s.
