For this season I thought I would do the seeds offered this way

That and that they all grow

It is nice to get photos of blooms or fruits.

For me, that only seemed practical when I was packing dozens of packets with just one kind of seed.

I see your system supports onesie-twosie batches. Cool!

Do you have your own color printer? I use the ones at work, and they have one color LASER printer which is really nice.

I love that. I'd hoped to do pictures last swap, but it was so time consuming and I was already out of ink, to boot. I think you might inspire me to do it this time, though.

Makes it easier to do seed package sorting also , I seal the photo and use them on straws for garden markers ,

Id love to do pics but I know I won't have time. I still have to reorganize my swap list and that takes a ton of time on my phone. Then for the daylily crosses I have to do photo montages for each cross for the list. Again, on my phone. I really need to write a list of which crosses have the best chance of having ripe seeds for the swap. No point in doing all the montages for seeds still on the plant!

I was just dead-heading my daisies this morning and decided to keep a few on their to get seeds from in the upcoming weeks. Any interest in white shasta daisies?

I have the white Daisy , but would consider growing more , nice early long bloomer here

Id love some Shasta daisies! I always plan to plant more perennials than I do. How tall do they get?

Jim - if you have space, they are great to grow, as I'm sure you well know. I have two large clumps of them and hubby didn't realize one of the clumps was my daisies, he thought it was some sort of out of control weed , so he weed whacked it and it STILL put out a large show of flowers (though with shorter stems). Hardy flowers, they are. Great for bringing indoors and putting in the center of the table to enjoy looking at over dinner.

Elena - I would say mine get to about 2' tall...sans weed-whacking, that is (see comment to Jim). I highly recommend trying them, especially if you find yourself lamenting having so many daylilies and not enough flowers. (I don't always cut ours, though, and sometimes just enjoy them growing outside so I deadhead them in order to produce the second flush of flowers they will give you.) As Jim mentioned, they have a really nice, long bloom period.

Just select "DnD's ALL SEEDS SWAP (Int'l)" and I think there's a button that says "Join This Swap". I don't remember offhand because I've been in the swap awhile ( ) and don't recall what the join button said, but it should be fairly straight-forward once you get there.

If you have any questions getting set up, let me/us know! There are a number of seed swap veterans in this group to help you.

I had already started listing seeds after the last swaps, so I'm in the process of updating/listing more. Home sick today, so good time to do this.

My avatar is a Japanese Iris, Lion King, a gift from a friend, and my first blooms of Japanese Iris in my garden this year...I think this might start a new addiction :)

Sorry to hear that you're sick. That's crummy. But, like you said, it's a good time to update seed lists! I'm so busy *creating* seeds right now, I haven't had time to make my list yet.

I love the iris and it's name! Lion King brings back memories of the original movie...good movie. It's been awhile though. Do you have many irises yet? It's a new addiction of mine, too. I had an iris from a 2015 plant swap that bloomed this spring and I was smitten by it and had to have more irises, so I bought enough to fill two garden beds. That's a garden bed more than I devoted to my seedlings!...so I might have to make it right and purchase a few more raised beds to start some more seedlings in the next few weeks. Good luck trying to cure your 'iris virus' (addiction). If you end up purchasing more, I'd love to know what you get! (I've purchased from Mid-America and T's Garden and Things so far)

Hi DND (and all!)

My new love is Japanese and Siberian Iris, but I am in love with all TOO many flowers (perennials!) I have been working on a backyard project for 3 yrs and surprisingly I have filled much of my garden space in that short time! I have a few more japanese and siberian iris I traded for last year (small starts) and they have grown, but have not bloomed. Lost some over the winter.I have a bunch of "regular" iris. I love them when they bloom, but I think I need to incorporate them in with my other beds so I dont have a large non-blooming space in the "iris garden".

I love the photos with the seed trades, but have not gotten to the point I can coordinate that.
