I am wondering if there is anyone here that is familiar with Black Chokeberry shrubs/bushes ( Aronia).. I had mine outside earlier In a container and it was pretty hot and windy outside ( plant well watered). But when I brought them all inside for the night every single leaf was wilted and turned downward ( Like an umblella).. I think it was either the wind OR they got sunburned.. I am actually tempted to give these to a freind that has a green thumb and replace them with "well established" ones that I can just put in the ground.. New ones will be 3-4 feet high. prob with taking pictures is it don't show well on any I took. Was I supposed to acclimate these or what? I have never encountered this issue with any other plant I have, Except for the Chokeberries. And they are supposed to be NATIVE to MN.

i have 2 aronia i planted in my yard last year. both are about 2ft. tall and have flowers on them this year. this is a polish cultivar called ''galicjanka''. supposed to be a big berry producer. got a couple suckers i clipped off this spring. put them in pots and both are growing well! love the dark plum green foliage! maybe the roots got too hot on yours because they were in pots. they're a cold loving plant.

thanks for that.. yea most of the containerized ones died.. except for two. I Bought some "well established" container #3 from naturehills.com and put them right in the ground. These as well as my brand new sensation lilacs are doing GREAT :D I even have some green berries! I also planted a gift bush they sent me.. FREE for my order ( 3 black chokeberry bushes and 2 sensation lilacs). I was sent free, A little princess spirea plant.. I gave this to my mother becuase she fell in love with it.
