If you're in zone 8a, you could get two generations of plants in one season--I do. I don't even plant them anymore, just let them come up and pull the ones I don't want.
Thanks Taqiyyah. I'll do that. The seeds are surprisingly bigger than I expected. I got some seed starting mix so once it stops raining I'll sow some seeds.
Wonderful!! Of the seeds I sowed this spring the S Coccinea (mine is Summer Jewel Lacender) was the first to germinate! Good for you! The other nice thing about S Coccinea (at least the ones I have had) is that they bloom when still fairly small. You are going to enjoy them!
