Okay so i know the plant with the thinner leaves is a phlox. But i didn't plant anything next to it. Anyone have a clue what the plant with the broader and darker leaves is? I'm not sure if this is something that will bloom or anything. Thank you for your help

They don't seem to ooze anything. I haven't broken one off though. They are kind of velvety to the touch if that helps
