For Mother's Day my son and my ex took me on a boat ride along the Braden River from Jigg's Landing to Linger Lodge. I took lots of pictures so thought I would share.....swampy old Florida at it's best!
I am envious of that boat ride Patty. We were in JAX over the weekend and a ride down the ICW was the plan but one of my sons wound up in the hospital with a kidney stone - he is OK now - but we thought a day by the pool would be wiser this time. Your Braden river is beautiful, there is nothing more relaxing than floating under moss draped trees.
Minds are like parachutes; they work better when they are open.
Thank you for sharing those pictures Patty. The only thing like that , that we have in Georgia is the Okeknokee (not sure about the spelling...lol) Swamp. In the southern most parts of Georgia. I did get a chance to visit the swamp when I was younger and my father worked for the state and he got us in free and a free boat ride back into the swamp. The park rangers were our guides. Wish I had a camera then.
You're welcome Ibis, and Mike, glad you enjoyed them!
Those Native words are certainly a mouthful, aren't they Mike? Never mind trying to spell them! I bet your's was a beautiful boat ride...many more 'real' trees that far north of here.
Hi Patty....They are hard to spell. I am part Cherokee and still have a hard time here in Georgia abot some of the Cherokee spellings...lol. Have a wonderful weekend.
