Those two are gorgeous! I like them both, but the first one is really spectacular.

Very first seedlings, ever, total amateur here. These seeds were from @hemlady.

First to bloom was Lighthouse Peach Jewel X Magic of Oz. This is actually the second bloom; the first was yesterday and this is much improved, clearer colors and pattern and less distortion on the petals:

I haven't measured (or counted buds or any of that!) but I'm guessing this is at least a six inch bloom.



Then, first flower today, really nice one, maybe about four inches, and more of a butterscotch color than what shows here, Galaxy Explosion X Firestorm:



Fun to see what comes out! I should have one more of each of those crosses, according to my notes, as well as quite a few others, yet to bloom.

HB27-17 = stunner Fred,

Fred, HB27-17 has an excellent pattern and HB07-17 is to die for. It is exceptional! You're on a roll this year.

Both the expert and the amateur are rockin' it this year! Amazing, both!

Fred - That second one reminds me a lot of the seedling I lost from last year. Mine was the DD (Dragonfly Dawn) x DD seedling.

I really like that first one, too!

Fred, both of those are stunners repeating the descriptive used by Gleni. So many stunners you have this year. Congrats to you as well.

I hear thunder, so will hurry to post just in case I have to
shut down. A few seedlings all tets.

One of my favorite seedlings is now blooming. Parentage is unknown. It is rust resistant. Foliage is low and short. Scape is also short, but above the foliage. This is one that would certainly make a good border plant or at the front of the garden. I love the clump it makes. Flowers are an unusual color and look like they have a heart pattern.

Shirlee, did you hear that thunk? It was my chin hitting the floor when I saw your first seedling.
BTW, remember the two cristate double seedlings you sent me a while back? For a number of reasons, namely deer and heat, I'd never seen one of them bloom until today. Here's the first ever bloom of your pink one.

Nice seedling Becky. You know all those seedling of mine from WAVES OF JOY, ANGEL LOVE, DELANEYS RAINBOW, ect have DRAGONFLY DAWN as a grandparent, or great grandparent.
These two were put in the hybridizing area last fall
both are fertile with good scapes.

Another seedling of (Selma Longlegs X Lilting Belle) today. Lighter, creamier shade of yellow than the 1st sibling. No markings of any kind that I could detect. I do like this form.
