I've had Wineberry Candy since 2009. It's one of my shorter daylilies and in its previous location, it was overshadowed by taller daylilies. I moved it about 5 weeks ago in hopes of it having a chance to perform better. It is a pretty bloom and it usually has good bud count for me.

Wineberry Candy performs very well in my zone 3 garden. It has increased nicely since I first obtained it, has lots of pretty blooms and takes some shade. It's one of the earliest to bloom for me and blooms for a long time. I would definately recommend this Daylily.

Wineberry Candy is new to my garden this year and I love it ! It is consistent and a non stop bloomer. It is also pod and pollen fertile and has added 2 additional fans this season. I recommend it ! Zone 8

This is the 4th year for Wineberry Candy in my garden. It is a front of the bed plant which has clumped up nicely from a double fan. It has consistent color of blooms with a pretty edging. It blooms early to mid season for me. It is a keeper for my garden.
update 2017: WC starts blooming July 20, bud count of 16 with 4 way branching, scapes 26", more than registered. It puts on quite a show

Wineberry Candy is new to my garden and hasn't bloomed yet. The plant looks healthy and a lot of scapes and buds. Will report more after it blooms

Wineberry Candy is a good performer in zone 6b south central Kentucky. I have moved it, divided it and it has still grown and performed beautifully. Blooms are consistent opening perfectly every time.

I have had Wineberry Candy in my garden for over a year, and it has not done very well so far. It sent up a scape and a puny bloom soon after planting but has done nothing but decline since. It is still hanging in there, and I hope to see a much stronger plant next year. No bloom, and no rebloom and no increase.

Wineberry Candy does well for me. Although I should move it into more sun. Very lovely blooms. I crossed Blazing Lamp Sticks x Wineberry Candy. Here is a first year blooms in 2017. The second pic is showing the scape (not the bloom).

How much do I love this plant? Despite years of neglect, no water, hilly location, no additional food, blasting hot sun, years of competing weeds, it blooms its little head off for about a month. It is probably the most successful Daylily in my yard, out of hundreds.

My experience with Wineberry Candy is exactly the same as Larry's. The plant did bloom when I first got it but has done nothing since. This spring (2021) I dug it up, potted it, and moved it to a sunnier location to see if that would help. The only result is that it got rust. This one has been a disappointment for me in zone 8b.

This picture is of its first bloom, shortly before it started to dwindle.

Last year was the fairest year that I divided Wineberry Candy in ten years. Weeds were cleared, the plant was fed and watered. It has responded by becoming a cloud of bloom every day.

This year it started blooming June 27th and is still blooming hard. The pics are from yesterday.

2021 Update; WC bloomed from June 27 to August 16, almost two months of continuous bloom.

2022…June 15- July 25…not as good as last year. It was a hot dry summer and WC is in the hottest driest part of the yard. Still, it, as usual, managed to bloom it's head off for over a month.

2023 update…Wineberry Candy got moved to the new Egg Bed in front of the house. It is shadier there and the move happened in early June so it didn't have time to recover enough to really bloom like crazy this year. I expect it will do better next season.
