Hi guys.
We bought a house last year and a few weeks later after doing some yard work/cutting back all the overgrowth, I found myself covered in poison ivy so bad I had to go to the hospital and get on prednisone Sad
I have done so much research on identifying the plant but there's so much information out there that I don't think I quite understand how many different ways it can look.

Is this the stuff?

Sorry for the poor picture quality, it is very windy today. I can try to take better pictures if needed.

I live in Ohio, and all of the poison ivy I have seen up here has notches in the leaves - and often a touch of red in the stem. That middle photo could possibly be poison ivy, but I would say no to the other 2 photos.

I agree with cwhitt. None of them look like poison ivy to me, but the 2nd is the most possible.

I agree, photo #2 does look like Poison Ivy (Toxicodendron radicans)

Poison Ivy can be truly awful for some to experience. I volunteered for a few years at a local botanical gardens in my area and I came into contact with the stuff a couple of times but luckily the rash was only on my arms and not severe; although it made me miserable! Not so lucky was a lady who volunteered with me; one time she was weeding an area that contained poison ivy and not thinking wiped her face with her gloved hand ... she ended up in the hospital, it got in her eyes!!

Hi & welcome!

PI has alternate leaves. If you're unsure and you see alternate leaves of 3 leaflets each, best to avoid. If the leaves are in opposite pairs, it's probably boxelder maple. I can't tell from your pics which way the leaves are arranged.
