Hello all! I'm newish here and haven't done a garden tour type post before, but I've enjoyed yours, so here goes. The photos are mostly close-ups because some of my borders are in a, ahem, "natural" state right now due to a big project in the spring.
I favor plants that are well adapted to my south east Idaho garden. I've been at this property for 4 growing seasons. Most plants have been started from seed, either winter sown or started indoors, and now that the garden is getting established I get a fair amount of free self sown plants, for which I am grateful. I also dapple in propagating through cuttings.
Knautia Macedonica doesn't make a big statement, but I'm crazy about that bold color, especially against lamb's ear.
This oriental poppy comes from seed sold as 'melon shades' from Diane Linsley's online seed shop. The colors are a stunning and sun fast array ranging from bubble gum pink to papaya, to raspberry.
With iris Rave On.
The full clump of Rave On, which I thought wasn't going to bloom this year. Hallelujah! The tropical mango and tangerine color is scrumptious!

Love the simple beauty of water on lamb's ear.
