I had estimated these seed pods to ripen on/about June 10. On June 9 I remembered to bind the pods so when they ripened the seeds wouldn't all blow away.

They ripened June 12 and the pods dropped off the tree June 14.

I have no idea how this seed-grown tree's flower was pollinated...whether the pollen came from another flower on the tree or pollen from flower of another tree. Shrug! The mother tree is an Adenium obesum with characteristics of an unknown cultivar.
If any one would like some seeds, send me a self-addressed, stamped, standard airmail envelope. USPS postage is the same here as for CONUS and Hawaii: 47 cents. Tree-mail me and I'll give you my mail address. Angel

Note: I cannot guarantee whether the seeds will come true to the mother parent nor whether the seeds are viable.

Good news! I soaked 10 seeds (5 from each pod) in a bowl of H2O/H2O2 for over a 24-hour period and every one of them sprouted roots. Hurray! Hurray!

The solution gives seeds a jumpstart by providing extra oxygen. It also prevents mold and fungus from attacking sprouting seeds. @DavidLMO gave me the tip about using the solution in planting seeds and also in using it to sanitize the potting media. Formula: ½ cup H2O2 to 1 gal. water.

You're very welcome, Ken! I tip my hat to you.

Many times I tell that I do something, but don't give details as to the reason(s) why. So thank you for bringing this to my attention...I'll strive to do better. nodding

Since I started using the H2O2 solution many moons ago ( maybe 15 years ) I have had virtually no damping off. During that time, I have planted literally tens of thousands of seeds. I use the H2O2 solution for wetting the seed starting media and when doing watering till seedlings are ~ 2-3 " tall. Then I start feeding and use the H2O2 solution rather than straight water to mix with the food.

There is tons of info on the Net and here about using Hydrogen Peroxide.

So cool, you get seeds ! Very good idea to bind the pods !!!

If I remember well it is possible to pollinate manually one flower to another using the same plant.
And I think it is although possible to pollinate one flower to itself using a brush !

I could be interested for some seeds if you do not already give all of it.

Not sure the answer you want : http://pe.usps.com/text/imm/fh... Restrictions: Plants, seeds, bulbs must be accompanied by plant health certificate.

I tried to locate what or which Plant Health Certificate you would need and ended up here : https://www.aphis.usda.gov/aph...

Never did find the document ...... just feels like trying to find one grain of salt on a white beach

In a veranda, with no wind, the seeds have been able to expanse, and to create this " seeds cloud" very stable for days ...

Thanks for reading.

I agree I don't think any plant has more beautiful seeds, they are like spun gold.
