Hello, I have never been a huge fan of doubles but they are growing on me so to speak. I won a red ribbon with Vanilla Fluff last Sat. I am thinking of adding a few more. Could you please add those that increase well and are good garden stock. Thank you,
Teresa

Aubrey is beautiful and reblooms, Frances is beautiful ,too. Frances is newer than Aubrey, not remembering Frances reblooming will check tonight. Of the two Frances seems to be the stronger fan producer and her fans look better longer. Would not trade either. They look different from each other. May many joys come your way this week!

Goodness that is a pretty one and a high budcount plus great branching. I think Joiner is the double king! Hurray!

I purchased Vanilla Fluff last year in a small clump. It has increased well and has tall scapes. It has lots of children plus and these awards.

Teresa-- I forgot to include congratulations on your ribbon with Vanilla Fluff in my above post. Hope you had fun at the show. Both of the above bloom shorter than listed, but their flower form is spectacular. Excellent garden flowers. They open more early than mid. Heat and rain do not affect the bloom. The innermost petals are not twisted on either one, they look like smaller versions of the outer petals like a rose. Can you tell I like them? I have two clumps of real wind from the same plant. One clump singles, I love it. The other almost always poly's and I hate it. I think it looks deformed. That is my feeling on alot of doubles they just do not look right. That is just to let you know how I rate a double. Many joys!

Teresa, if you want a shorter one that's fragrant, dependable, re-blooms amazingly and is rust-resistant then Siloam Double Classic is your baby. I have it here in Florida and also planted it in two gardens in Salt Lake City. Doing well both places, but my clump here just blows my mind every time:

In the clump shot above, you can see it was almost over, but it bloomed for 3 weeks straight and had 10 scapes.

Thanks for posting. Good to know it that DSC does well in Salt Lake City. My oldest is 20 miles from there and wanting flowers sent out lol.

Congratulations on your win, Teresa Thumbs up My favourite double in my garden is Peggy Jeffcoat. She has done well for me and is a consistent bloomer. When I see the bloom for the first time each year, I am always taken aback by her perfection.

Congratulations, Theresa , on your win. I am not a big fan of doubles, but one of the stars of our garden is Jean Swann, and yes, it is a Joiner. This year, it has been so wonderful. Of course, we had lots of rain in the spring and that always helps. The pictures I am posting is of four plants-- three of them were probably planted eight to ten years ago so they have had all those years to multiply. The fourth plant was a proliferation and it is remarkable because we have never had another proliferation from these plants. I do not recall seeing any single blooms, only doubles. There is rust in our garden and I don't see any rust on them either.

Jean Swann--to my eyes, a very beautiful flower

This clump shot was taken last week about 7:15 p.m. or a little later. The sun is shining directly on the flowers and they look just about the same as they did in the morning.

This picture taken in the morning a few days ago around 8:00 a.m.. You can see they have opened very well with lots of flowers.

Thumb of 2016-06-28/Avedon/67e205
I think this is the one that shows 43 flowers, but I haven't done a real good count. Anyway, you get the idea I am a big cheerleader for this daylily. Naturally, there are so many variables with growing daylilies, and just because it does well for us doesn't mean it would work in your garden, but I think this one is worth taking a chance on, if you like the color and the form.

Thanks everyone for showing your favorites and giving me names to research. I love that clump shot of Jean Swan, just awesome. Lisa, I was gifted with Spotted Fever this Spring. What an awful name for a flower lol. It is a cutie, mine bloomed short but it is also new.

Suga, I should add Fin and Feather for my guys. My DH and son are avid fishermen and hunters! I like the color too.

Teresa, here are two beautiful, rare doubles for you (they are cheats because they are registered singles). I get these usually on reblooms.

An excellent garden plant and breeder is KING KAHUNA. It is also quite rust resistant.

I am not a big fan of the doubles form, it just looks so "untidy" or "disorganized", still there are a few that are growing on me.
This first one I could not stand when it first bloomed and it is registered as a single, but as the season progressed and the plant churned out the blooms and then it rebloomed I guess my appreciation of the plant itself won me over finally accepting the bloom form. There has never been a bloom on it that looked like a single.

A double that I seemed to like form the beginning (I think it is the color combination) was 'Scatterbrain':
