Background history:

'Cimarron Rose' is a semi-evergreen tetraploid introduced in 2005 by Jeff Salter. Jeff and Elizabeth Salter hybridize at Rollingwood Garden in Gainesville, Florida.

Cimarron Rose is a mid-season bloomer. It is both pod and pollen fertile with currently 33 registered children: http://garden.org/plants/paren...

This plant can be found in the NGA Plant Database at:
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Cimarron Rose') .

Please join in, if you own this plant! We would love to know more! I award an acorn for performance information posted to this thread.

Also, please consider adding a "Local Report" to the NGA Plant Database! Thank you!

Here are two different faces of Cimarron Rose taken just three days apart. The bloom is beautiful! Even though the stats have it at 28" tall, it does not get near that tall for me. It is next to an aggressive growing daylily, and that might be a factor. Even though it is shorter than I like, I will surely keep this beauty in my garden.

I added Cimarron Rose last year, and it is has just started blooming. Being new, the stats are less than registered, but I am sure it improve in the next couple of years. I have been using every bloom to hybridize with, no pods yet, but many buds left. I really like it already, even though I haven't had a perfect bloom yet.

Have had it for many years. Considering that I had moved a lot of round and ruffled out of the yard in that time, must mean that I like it....lol. Garden visitors alway pick this one out! Picture taken today.

I ordered a double fan from Becky Parr at Dancing Daylilies this spring. She sent four fans and they haven't bloomed yet but are growing well. I hope to see blooms next spring.

I have not ordered anything yet from 'Dancing Daylilies' but they have several plants on my want list and at great prices. I keep thinking I will make a trip up there and pick them out myself, instead of going the mail route. 'Cimarron Rose' is another reason to think about making the trip.!

@Seedfork,
Becky at Dancing Daylilies has a clump sale going on right now. I've ordered a few more from her. Her plants aren't the huge leek type, but the roots are large and healthy. Every plant that I've gotten from has bloomed and done well. She sends extra fans as bonuses. I order from her every year.

Speaking of Dancing Daylilies Garden, this is a little off-topic, but some of you that order daylilies from her might find this article very interesting:
