It looks to me like there are several very different cultivars in the database under Dark Cloud.
And then i have another one to add that i have been calling dark cloud for some time but maybe it is not Confused

We could have several things going on. Soil type, weather, and time of year in the photos represented.
@JungleShadows
Kevin can you take a look at the photos in the database. I know I got mine from you and you have seen mine in the bed over different seasons, so it should be correct.
I have never notice mine to have a green center or cabbage form to the center of the rosette.

Here's my 'Dark Cloud' for what it's worth. Not too helpful since I don't know where it came from. This one was quite darker earlier in they year and it is now as light as I've ever seen it.

Dark Cloud is quite a chameleon but generally it has big rosettes with elongated leaves, grey at the base and more purple towards the tips. This year mine has gone paler than I have ever seen it.

It looks like Tim and I might have the real deal.
How do I get my photo onto my plant list instead of the one from the database which is not correct with it's pale center and seriously watermarked leaves. It's a beauty .

My experience is that it will give you a photo that is one of your submissions, if there is one. If there isn't, I'm not sure which one it gives you. Or if you have multiple submissions I don't know which one it will select.

Jo Ann, it will only reject the photo if it is already in the database entry. Are you trying to add a photo to the 'Dark Cloud' entry?

I really would like to be able to use my photos on my list of plants because most of what is on my list is for sale and i would like folks to see what they would really be getting. Some of the database photos look very much different than what i have for sale. I tried to add my Dark Cloud photo so I can use it in my list but there are so many there already and the first one is what comes up on my list. it does not look much like mine. Confused

You don't seem to have any image contribution in the DB for 'Dark Cloud'. And if you want anyone else to see your list exactly as you see it, they will have to log in as you.

Jo Ann add your photo to the database entry and be sure to enter that you have that plant. You will find that add button on the left side of the entry page.

Lynn is Tim correct though that when we look at our plant list that the picture for it will be our own, or if we don't have one, it defaults to the main picture for the database plant entry?
Cause if that's the case, Jo Ann we won't see your picture for the plant anyway.
