THIS rose could be sweet surrender planted in 1983

I moved this to the Rose forum so some of our rose experts can help. Can you provide additional clues? Plant height? Fragrance? Any additional photos of blooms and leaves would help too. And where is it grown?

That's a lovely photo, and 1983 is the year Sweet Surrender came out, so it was a popular choice for planting that year. It's hard to identify a pink rose with no other distinguishing characteristics, however, because there are so many pink roses. Your photo shows a high-centered bloom. The Sweet Surrender bloom is high-centered for only a short time, after which it acquires a cupped shape. Does the bloom on your rose eventually acquire a shape similar to the ones in this photo?

Like Zuzu, I need to see more plant characteristics than just a bloom to identify a rose. Besides, she's better at identifying roses than I am.

I don't think your rose is 'Sweet Surrender' just looking at the bloom, because the petals in your photo quill, while the petals in Suzanne's photo have a reflexed form upon opening.
