Hi WhatISeebyDawne, If you can upload photos here of the leaves and the blooms I'm sure you will get an exact ID but the flowers in your photo do look a lot like Tansy Ragwort (Jacobaea vulgaris)

Dawne, hopefully this is all worked out by today. Please keep using this forum for any flower photos you want named. There are members here who'd like to help.
Just post a new thread for each picture as you have, and tell where it grew. Remember, extreme closeups might not have all the parts we need to see, and you can put multiple photos in your request.
Plant it and they will come.

And the bonus to us -- once you get a positive ID, hopefully you will upload your photo to the database. Beautiful shots! What may be helpful is once you've taken your art shot, step back and take a more clinical shot for ID purposes - showing both the bloom and leaf in focus. Post both, the clinical shot for ID purposes and the art shot for eye candy. I look forward to more.

Thank you all for your help and encouragement. I'm getting ready to post some photos...but they're old and unfortunately a couple aren't of the whole flower, leaves and stems and all that. I was given an idea of what they might be, but lately I've been told I'm wrong, so just doing a check up to see if I'm even close. I know exactly where I took the photos, hee hee, hopefully that's a plus!! I'm going through my older flower photos first up to the newer ones in the next few days. I now know to take photos of more of the flower, especially if I don't know what it is. Big Grin I also have photos of trees as well, would this also be the forum for them, or is that a different one??

Thank you all again...here goes...something?? Smiling

Dawne, Yes this is the forum to post photos of all plants and trees that you are trying to identify! We've got some really knowledgeable folks around here who are great at identifying plants! If you can post as many different views of the plant as possible (leaf, stem, flower, fruit/seeds, bark ) and give a general location/area of the world where the plant is growing and conditions like full sun, full shade, etc. there's a good chance someone will recognize it and be able to give you a name!

Dawne,
Since many of your images are copyrighted be sure to complete your site preferences to protect photos that you upload to this site.

Here is a screen shot of the site preference page with two arrows; one points to 'add watermark', the other will prevent your photos from being moved into the database without your permission. Don't forget to always hit 'save your changes'!
Hope this helps.

Deb, that is fantastic advice on getting a photo for ID purposes!
