This is in a pot combination at RHS Harlow Carr and I'd love to know what it is.

I think it is variegate leaf japanese hop (Humulus japonicus 'variegatus')

That is an awesome rendition of Variegated Japanese Hops. Consider yourself very fortunate. The seeds are hard to find. I have some stored in the fridge but yours is the most awesome color I've ever seen. This is from someone that has severe variegated plant sickness:) Karen

This isn't my plant unfortunately Karen, it's being grown by the Royal Horticultural Society at their garden in Yorkshire. Would this come true from seed?

As long as it isn't cross pollinated with a plain green hop a good percentage of the seeds will be true.Karen

I have a very slow connection and made the change to Windows 10 app 12 days ago, which made my connection to the internet even slower. Only tonight I was able to download/see your pictures. Harlow Carr is beautiful, but your pictures exceed any expectations I had. Are you a professional photographer? The RHS could publish a book with your material.

Ah how very kind you are Ursula! I've always taken photographs, I take my camera with me every day, even when I go to work, and I love visiting gardens and buildings. For me it's a lovely record of what I've seen, and if I see plants I like I take a photograph (and of the label) so that I remember it. I used to live in Yorkshire (before digital cameras) and went to Harlow Carr quite regularly then, but it's only this year that I've rejoined the RHS and visited so often.
