Yes, they are both Caladium 'Kathleen'!
The one on the left I purchased this year, it has freshly sprouted as they got planted late, the one on the right is from 4 years ago.
The looks of plants can vary by their growing conditions, I know, but how amazingly different these look!
I believe that the new will eventually start looking like the old one..

They both look good. I've noticed the same thing with some of my older caladiums, don't look like they did the first year.

In the winter before last I took one of my Kathleen bulbs as a gift to my Brazilian friends who generously offered me and my friend a stay in their house.
To my surprise, the plant seemed to revert to how it looked like originally. Still not quite the same though as the newly sprouted one,
I think it proves that the climate really has a big influence on the appearance.
The rainforest climate, warm and very humid, I suppose must be very similar to the area in Florida where they are being grown.
After all Caladium bicolor are native to Brazil and I did meet them once in a while on my walks in the forest.
The Belgian summers are very whimsical, the temperature can fall or rise considerably in just one day, humidity levels also being very variable not consistent.

Good point, Myriam. I know I've seen that with other tropicals, like bromeliads, where the growing conditions definitely affect the color. Plants are so adaptable!

I find the colors on these most influenced by exposure in my climate (ridiculously humid summers, 90+ every day.) More shade = more intense color.
