Currently there is a shipping ban to any of the European Union countries because of a bacteria called Xyrella. Most nurseries have stopped overseas shipping completely.

Hand-carrying plants out of the US has never been allowed.

Before the ban, nurseries would require a minimum order amount for overseas shipping - generally around $500. On top of that is the actual cost of shipping plus cost of the phyto fee. (About $75.00)

Any fees incurred overseas for customs, etc. are always the customer's responsibility.

what about mailing daylily seeds to Brazil?

There are no restrictions for daylily seeds.

If I remember correctly, Brazil is one of the main countries where common older daylilies, as well as numerous other plants, are meristemmed (cloned) for wholesalers and then shipped back to the US for distribution.

welcome jsgoldoni. There are people with daylilies in Brazil (and daylily rust is there too unfortunately). I assume they can't provide the specific cultivars you want? Are you the Goldonis that have a Petit daylily named after you?
