The leaves are wrong for Tung Oil/Vernicia fordii; likewise for Catalpa - both have sort of heart-shaped leaved.
Yours could be some type of nut tree.

I notice that greene's link says that the name should be X. sorbifolium rather than sorbifolia as we have in the database. The ICBN seems to support that so I've posted a query on the database forum.

I was surprised that Xanthocerus sorbifolia/um is apparently hardy to zone 4 - I want one!

Hmmm.....what I saw had it hardier than that...will check again...someone else said it was hardy to zone 4

Missouri Botanical lists it as good for zones 4-7...

Digging Dog says hardy to zone 4...

Dunno...but Lyle, Washington is listed as USDA Zone 7a on one site and 7b on another site....
