I never tire of looking at Jamie Gossard's introductions, and of course he has more doozies for us to drool over! I was particularly interested in the lavender blue dips -- wonder how lavender blue they really are? If anyone ends up ordering any of these new introductions, I hope you will share pictures of the flowers in your garden next year.

30 daylilies is a heck of a lot of introductions. I don't have any of Jamie Gossard's intros in my garden at all.

I think I have three: MISS PIGGY, ALIEN FORCE and HEAVENLY DRAGON FIRE. And, needless to say, I love all three!

Oops, almost forgot -- and I just recently purchased small plants of OUTER LIMITS, VENUS FLYTRAP, VAMPIRE'S KISS, PUFFER FISH and SUPERMODEL through the Lily Auction too. But they're pretty small, so I doubt I'll see flowers on any of them in the spring.

(I originally added this as an edit to the last post, but then I realized it wouldn't show a "Yes" by the thread so I put it in a new post to mark it.)

I have some of his older ones , all reds - Green Throated Robin (2006), Radiation Biohazard (2000), Volcanic Eruption (2004) and Wandering Wings (2003) All were new to my garden this year.

Green Inferno is on my wish list. But he truly has some amazing day lilies ~Jan

Jamie sure does have some beautiful ones. $200 is a bit out of my price range though.

Isn't it, though? But I've been able to pick up some SF's through the Lily Auction for about 1/3 of that, so I'm slowly building my toothy collection to try some hybridizing.

I really love lots of Jamie's daylilies. I grow quite a few but wish I had room and money for lots more of them. Gorgeous pictures Betty! Here are a few of the ones I grow--nothing really new.....

BEADED LIGHT I think I got some seedlings out of this one in 2010 (weather was better for getting pods than it was last summer)

DELTA FORCE Really nice early bloomer--pod fertile as well.

HEAVENLY CURLS Has been around a long time, but still one of my most photographed daylilies!

LAVENDER CURLS Great green throat!

VOLCANIC ERUPTION New this summer, but am looking forward to seeing it in a clump!

I have Lavender Curls and love it but it has been real slow to settle in here. Next year will be 3 years and no increase. Hope the third year is a charm and it takes off.

Funny that that's happening for you Cynthia. For me, LAVENDER CURLS multiplied well but didn't bloom till the 3rd summer I had it.....

I'm really hoping it does better. If not, I will try it in a different location of the garden. It does get a few hours of shade where it is and that may be the problem.

I know that poor location probably affects quite a few of my daylilies. I have several that have not increased at all that I have had for 5 years or more. But, if I limit myself to the number of daylilies that I can grow in 'good' spots, I will really have to cut back. I do worry that I don't really have an opportunity to fairly evaluate my seedlings' branching and budcount due to shade and tree roots. And increase is really slow too..... Oh well, we make do with the conditions we have I guess. I know that at some point I'm going to have to cut back on my 'named' daylilies to give more space to my babies.

I have that same thing going on here Ann. I'm out of prime real estate and have begun to cull my named ones that just do not please me as much as they used to. Boy is that hard to do.

I'm with you, too, Ann and Kim...need space for the same reasons.

I don't have my spreadsheet, but I know I have White Eyes Pink Dragon (first year to bloom for me) and really like it. I got Polar Bear Express on introduction (2006, I think) and it is one of my favorites. The Gossards sent me Heavenly Angel Ice (yea!) and Yellow Sledgehammer as bonuses with PBE. And, let's see, someone sent me Radiation Biohazard as a bonus this year, but it didn't bloom. Can't think of any others (think!) right now...but, I'm happy with all of those.

I visited his garden last year (2010) during the Northern Mecca and it's just overwhelming all the wonderful things he/they has/have. I'm not surprised he has as many introductions as he does. Looking forward to seeing it next year on tour.

Great photos Katie. I think I really need WHITE EYES PINK DRAGON! I do grow and love HEAVENLY ANGEL ICE. And POLAR BEAR EXPRESS looks enticing as well..... How am I ever going to cut down.
