The internet is great, I can see thousands of beautiful roses but I cannot smell them.

Long story short. Bushes are leaving and under my dining room window I want some roses(or other flowers) so when I open the window it'll at least make that room smell like roses.

Since Microsoft, Apple, and others haven't figured out how to relay smell I was hoping I could get some suggestions from people that know and not adds on websites that claim how fragrant they are.

An old favorite that I find very fragrant is Mr Lincoln. He can also grow tall enough to reach you window.

Fragrance preferences are so subjective, but I think the best-smelling roses in my garden are Zephirine Drouhin, Madame Isaac Pereire, the climbing variety of Cecile Brunner, and First Kiss. The first two smell like raspberries, which is a scent I find highly appealing, and the latter two have a nice wafting fragrance, which doesn't require me to stop and sniff a bloom. I can smell them even if I'm just walking by.

I usually don't stop and smell the roses, but both Firefighter and Grande Dame reached out and grabbed me this season.

I love the smell of my pink rose that you suggested is Aloha(thread linked below) it just isn't very strong. I have to almost touch my nose to it in order to smell it but I really sig the scent.

It smells like tea and something else I can't nail down, but the something else is very faint and has a strong tea smell.

Chandos Beauty is another well named rose - a beauty, indeed!

Fragrant Cloud can scent an entire garden. I have several Austin roses with strong scents, too, and they are easier to grow than Fragrant Cloud. Have to go outside and do some sniffing to see just which ones, but I know Gertrude Jekyll has a strong perfume. Strong thorns, too.

I grow mostly HTs and Granada is my favorite followed by Sheila's Perfume.

If it's fragrance your after then I vote for Darlows Enigma. I have one planted below my kitchen window and it's like having an air freshener right in the window. Another plus is it is in bloom from spring to frostt.
