Thread OP

I planted various seeds in starters and most have sprouted up and look healthy despite the hot summer weather. I wrote on paper the layout of which seeds were planted in which spot. I'm confused because a lot of the plants popping up look very similar. I am positive I did not mix up the seeds or add any to already seeded starters. I'm wondering if anyone can identify the baby plants? I know the following are correct: parsley, dill, oregano, dill, marjoram...In the images below are the layout and pics of the plants. I will include a pic of my planter were I put random seeds on top of the soil because I didn't want to put back into the package incase I had moisture or dirt on my hands. I think they are sweet peppers. I will include pics of the seed packs. Thank you. And yes I'm most likely retarded.

Let them get bigger and then you will most likely be able to tell the plants apart.

Rita is correct. Very young seedlings often start out looking alike.

Hey Corey, welcome, hello and hows the weather in oki? Welcome!

I have an online buddy by that name, I honestly don't know if that's a good thing or not ( don't you agree R ? )

Now to your problem, waiting is good advice but....... I can say with absolute surety that the 2nd row from the right and 3rd down is definitely a pepper. And just to comment on your last statement, wisdom comes one step at a time, we're not born geniuses, it takes trial and error. Heck, look at me for proof! *Blush*

Hi Coreyinoki! Welcome to NGA!

I would also wait longer before trying to ID each one.

Labelling is always a hassle. I use seedling trays, and label each row with a short length of of mini-blind slat cut in half or thirds, to fit into the cell in the seedling tray. I mark the slats with a mechanical pencil. (They might not stick well into those peat balls, though. The peat balls might fall apart.)

Those slats also serve to hold Saran Wrap up, away from the surface before seeds germinate. Like tiny tent poles. I use that when I run out of humidity domes.

(Sorry, I didn't take any photos.)

There are some photos of seedlings here:

(I can never find that site until I remember that there is a Sticky Thread in the Seed Forum.)
