I noticed 5 trees near one building in Vancouver BC, the fruit looks like lychee. I am told that crows have been seen eating this fruit.
It smells like peach when opened.

99% sure it's either cornus kousa or Arbutus Unedo both of which should grow in the Vancouver area and both of which are edible but in my experience every time I've tried cornus kousa it's been very astringent and nasty. Hope this helps and too bad they don't taste as good as lychee Thumbs up
