Thread OP

Hi!!!! I have a citrus question. I'm from Victoria Australia and we are about to come into spring. I have some young (2&1/2 yr old) citrus trees that, due to lack of knowledge, only really had their first prune! Should I remove the small green fruit that remain on the trees??? Will this help them develope for spring or does leaving the fruit on not matter??? Any advice would be great thankyou

Here is an article from the University of California Cooperative Extension. I think it will answer all your questions.

To answer your question about removing the fruit - yes, you should remove all fruit for at least the first year or two after planting, so that the trees can put energy into growing leaves and roots.
