So I recently got some cuttings from a cactus and it seems to be doing good, however, I have spotted some small bugs crawl around on the plant and in the soil. I'm not sure if they're a threat to the plant or just simply live in the soil, so I thought identifying the bugs would be the best action.





The bug is a silvery green color, and they're pretty small.



I haven't noticed any weird markings or discolorations on the plant, but of course that doesn't say much about the condition of the root system. I also noticed some fur-like texture on one of the new roots along with something that looked like cobweb in the soil.



Do any of you know what kind of bug it may be, and should I take action?

In the first two pictures it is hard to see detail, it looks like it could be a mite or some other kind of arachnid. Is it possible for you to count the number of pairs of legs? The third picture could be a fungus gnat adult. It would be easier to identify if we could see the pattern of veins on the wings, which may be hard for you to do depending on your camera. In the last picture the hairs on the root could be normal root hairs. See these images for examples:

I took a closer look at the ones I caught and I think you're right. I can't see the pattern of the wings either but the shape of the body is identical to the fungus gnat's.
