I was wondering how to minimize the risk of my carnivorous plants getting infected. So far I have four different kinds: a Venus flytrap, a drosera, some kind of nepenthes and some kind of sarracenia.
I've heard that spraying plants with chamomile tea helps kill fungus, but I'm uncertain if that method is okay to use on carnivorous plants, or if it would do more damage than good.

Do any of you have some advice?

These plants have adapted to very wet circumstances, so other than full sunlight and good air circulation, I'm not sure if there's a specific recommendation.

Healthy, live plant tissue is generally quite resistant to fungal attack. What sort of situation are you growing them in, and why do you feel they might be in danger?

The most common source of infection in Venus fly trap is from the following:
* Aphids
* Fungus Gnats
* Gray mold
* Cultural problems
* Feeding
Venus fly trap have specific light and water needs. Also, they are not susceptible to most pests or diseases.

Also, rain tends to wash the spores off.

The only thing I need to treat a flytrap or Sarracenia plant for is when the pot gets a bad case of aphids. I do not treat them if the damage is minor and it appears the aphids have moved elsewhere.

The plants never seem to develop fungus infections or mold. Sunlight, good air circulation and ample rain seem to keep them in good shape.
