It is time to start making plans for the 2017 Hybridizing Clinic. Hurray!
Below are is the beginning arrangements, more information will be added as we go.
You can start to make reservations for your travel (car, plane, boat, dog sled, bike) Green Grin!
@JungleShadows Kevin, are you going to reserve a block of rooms at the Red Lion again?

JungleShadows said:The dates for the clinic are April 28-29, with the actual class and banquet on the 29th.

Will start making arrangements for the dinner and hotels for those coming further away soon.

Other than the date we don't have any other events planned right now although we are looking into a few activities for Friday for people wanting to purchase plants. I will be starting with the basics this year as most of you did not take the first class. Will also add some new information to keep the veterans entertained.

So looking forward to seeing you all there!

Yes I'll reserve a block of rooms at the Red Lion. Generally that gets you $10 off their normal rate plus a breakfast for one of your mornings there if not all. The Red Lion is an easy access to the I-5 and has comfy rooms at reasonable prices.

Won't get that for a few days yet. Will also stop by Robert's and reserve our normal banquet room and start working on menu options for dinner. That will be the only meal where I have just a limited number of seats. I have a couple of options for Friday for meals. There is a German restaurant in Keizer that is fun and a new crepe place that is getting great reviews. Both could be fun. We'll plan more after we know where the other Friday events are.

Am so looking forward to seeing you all for the first time or again.

Will there be mystery guests?

This is really early to be planning but I'll jump in and say On Friday, I'm thinking about Breakfast at our place in South Salem (15 min from Red Lion) and then trip to Garlands Nursery (30+ min from our house). What do people think of Garland's...worth going???
Youngs Gardens is 2 hrs plus away which I think may be too far.

Not early if one has to save up; Not early if one has to convince the other to drive with them all the way; not early if one has to give notice at the job; Not early if one has to keep, move, and evaluate seedlings for display next year; Not early to remind all that there's a CLINIC to be had and so don't forget to save the date on your calendars! Smiling
