Good sized Variegated Agave Desmetiana. The usual type ( I assume) with just a bit of color on the edges of the leaves. More pups than I can count. Yes, I need to do some separating. Just before I had to bring it inside last fall it started putting out very colored leaves. It fell off the hand truck on the way indoors so it got smashed a bit. Still putting out nice colored leaves this year. Any thoughts? Gene

Gene, How do you keep getting such nice variegated plants?
Also I hate the new format. I may quit this site.

Maybe it is my homemade atomic reactor I'm running in the backyard? (A joke.) Yes, my initial response would be negative to the new site format. But I'll hang in there and hope I get used to it. Hope you do the same. Gene

These things take some ironing out. I think the order of things is wrong on the page. But there's a conversation going on the site forum. It will improve with user feedback.

Stick around, Stush. You can change the layout of your home page to resemble what it looked like previously using this page.

http://garden.org/users/prefs/...

Drag "Forums list" and "Watcher notifications" from their default location low on the page up to the very top, replacing the sweet potatoes that are currently in that position. Then click on "View your dashboard" (link toward the bottom of the page) to see the new version.

There's plenty more you can customize but it's easy enough to get back to the previous general order of things.
I tip my hat to you.

I went to my preferences and saw no entry for turning off ads. Gene

I think you have to accumulate a certain number of pictures in the database, or something like that, for the option to turn off ads to appear. I've had the option for a while and I'm at 200 or so in the picture count. I wish I could find where exactly I learned that nugget, which didn't stick long in my brain.
