Having trouble figuring out what this little baby is! Left it in the care of my roommate over the summer and it now needs some love. Please let me know! Thinking it might be a kalanchoe variety??

Yes, a Kalanchoe. Hard to say in its' current low-light state. K. fedtschenkoi is possible. Kals are tons-of-sun plants. Is it in your brightest spot?

Just cut it down today and put it in the sunniest spot! Hopefully is does better here! thanks for your help!

Happy to suggest what has worked well for me. If it's a drastic change, it could be overwhelming & burn the plant. IDK what your options are for easing into more sun, but that might be necessary. I can't tell from what's been said so far how dim the original spot was & how much brighter the new one is.

If stems refuse to stand up straight, don't worry, they'll just grow more side branches more quickly that way, like these pics show:

thanks so much for your photos and tips! your plant seems to be much like mine in appearance. both of the window spots are similar in light, the original spot was a north east facing window and the other a due north, so it gets a little bit more light throughout the day.

Looks like some form of Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi as others have pointed out. I think it is suffering from low light, but it may be a naturally trailing variety. These Kalanchoes are in a max light environment.

Steve, compare the middle one to K. laetivirens, the 3rd one to K. marnieriana.

Thx Tiff. The middle plant has sold as Kalanchoe Bryophyllum Daigremontianum "Mexican Hat Plant"/"Mother of Thousands'. The bottom as Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi. The first is Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi Compacta.

I find it difficult to ID a plant from a small cutting, theses are rooted now and starting to put on growth, maybe by spring I'll have a more mature plant to ID.

I'm finding it's not uncommon for sellers to misidentify plants they are selling.

That would be cool if the middle one is K. daig. Are the bottoms of the leaves variegated?

I wouldn't say it's variegated, but they do have a pink/red streaked pattern on the under side. I think as they get larger ID may be less difficult.

I've moved all of these into a small greenhouse with T5HO lighting, growth seems to be great and I hope to keep temps no lower than 40*F. My Aeonium's are really doing great with the cooler temps.

ETA: You are correct on the 3rd plant, after much reading and looking I'm sure it is K. marnieriana. THANKS!
