Thread OP

I want to plant something in outside planters to create screening in three different size planters (Small Overall: 13" diam., 20"H
Large Overall: 16" diam., 30"H
Extra-Large Overall: 19" diam., 38"H). I am looking to get 8-10’ height coming out of the top of this tallest planter. I would like it to stay green through the winter. It is in mostly shade. I just explored bamboo and it didn’t sound like it was going to work. Do you have suggestions? Evergreens are a thought but something a little bushier might provide better screening.

I need height but also don’t mind a mixture of height and drape if that works.

It would help if you let us know where you live so members know what 'winter' is for you and be able to make appropriate suggestions.
