I have a one foot avocado plant growing on my windowsill. Can it grow outside in the UK weather.
Where should I plant it.

How cold does it get where you live? What kind of Avocado?

Welcome! I'm afraid that the avocado won't grow outside in the UK. It probably would do well in a greenhouse there. It might be able to go outside for the summer, but your winters would kill it. I can't grow them in my Arizona or New Mexico environments, and we're much warmer.

Avocado is a tropical species plant and should be maintained in temps that stay above 50 degrees F.

Depending upon the origin of the Avocado, they are hardy down to Zone 8 or so.
