Thomas Tew was my very best bloomer this year in zone 7A. All of my DLs are first year. I got two fans from Maryott's on 7/11 and planted them in two very different beds. Both shot up scapes and began blooming in August. The blooms were stunning! I'm really looking forward to next year when they have had a chance to really settle in. It's a definite winner in 7A.

Wow, once again I have to contribute a non-characteristics post about another wonderful CV.

Reason for doing so is that I just received a nice two fan piece of Thomas Tew from my mother, a couple weeks ago. Thank You!

I will post however that the cream and violet face has me craving a blueberry cream cheese danish. Drooling Ok so I haven’t had my breakfast yet and I hungry. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing I will add that I also love the white midrib that looks like a star bursting outward from that chartreuse throat. Can you tell, I am anxiously waiting to see this pretty face in my garden.

I just received Thomas Tew from Maryott's a week ago. I'm hoping for great things this spring. No report just yet.

I first saw a picture of Thomas Tew from a post by Teresa....aka Bluegrassmom....and I knew I had to have it. I love its pretty face and especially the larger size of the bloom. It is an evergreen and I am a bit hesitant to add them to my Kentucky garden. I have lost evergreens in the past, but not this one! It is a very nice addition to the garden.

After seeing these pics, I think I should have ordered a double from Maryott's.
