I may not be on this forum temporarily, so if you are expecting an acorn for any Daylily of the Day evaluations for those cultivars that I feature, rest assured I will catch up with you when my power and internet service is restored. With Hurricane Matthew approaching Florida, I expect to lose power probably Thursday evening or early Friday. We are hunkering down as are most of the locals. We are hoping for no to minimal damage.

I wish. My family believes it will come on land at or near Sebastian Inlet. We are hoping that it decreases to a low category 3 or less. That is our biggest concern. We may be wishing that we had evacuated, but the roads are packed. Better not to be on the road in a hurricane. If our roof holds up, we should be ok.

One to take to heart....1 John 4 ..............................................Where there is smoke...there is fire...in most cases the smoke will kill you long before the fire consumes you. Beware of smoke screens! Freedom is not free and when those who have not paid the price or made the sacrifice...think that only they are right and entitled to speak...they bring us tryanny.
Matthew does look like a really bad one, it is huge and powerful. Thoughts are with all in the way, Fl, GA, SC...and where ever else this storm may go, stay safe!
