OMG -- sooooo excited! I just checked the Water Mill Gardens website, and it's been updated for the 2012 introductions. And even better, they're introducing the seedling I've been waiting for -- named BAJA CALIFORNIA! Of course, I haven't even checked on the price yet, but I'm sure it's going to be expensive. I'd better start saving!

I can see the two that are on the homepage, but when I go into the newest intros it still shows the 2011s.

They are all very nice but I am sure they probably wouldn't do well in my zone unfortunately.

Michele, is there a way for you to empty your cache? A lot of times that's what I have to do in order to show the new stuff. Hope that works!

I had the same trouble with the Trimmer site showing the 2011 intros, but when I hit the refresh button, the new 2012 intros showed up. Hope you can see them. I agree that Baja California is stunning. I saw it blooming when I visited the Trimmers in May. Check out its bud count and branchng. Dan uses a small inexpensive digital camera to take photographs and doesn't doctor them. I grow several of Dan's orange daylilies and they look just like his photos. Jane's new intro, Dragonfly Dawn is also one I really like. I would like to own them all!

I can see them on this computer. I was on my phone internet earlier and they didn't show up, but then a few hours later they did. I think I might just have to buy Dan's collection and then get DRAGONFLY DAWN from Jane's collection. There are quite a few I want to use.

I have to agree Baja California is gorgeous, I have already ordered it. I love Dan's oranges and get one or two a year. Plus I love many of his other things also. Dan is such a nice person to do business with This is Parrots of the Caribbean blooming in my garden this year. I hope the picture comes through.

Oh Dot, thank you so much for posting those pictures! I just love those oranges! I just ordered PARROTS from Michele, and in addition to BAJA I think I'm going to order PORT ORANGE from Dan. Are you familiar with that one? It looks totally yummy to me.

Dan has some beautiful oranges. The newest Daylily magazine has a nice article about him and he talks about the orange breeding. The next page has Jane's story on how she got started and her program. She is also very talented with her forms and patterns.

Betty, I have Port Orange and it looks just like the photo on their site. I tried uploading my photo, but it wouldn't let me for some reason. You will like it.

I love them both from the pictures, and I just checked out Dan's website again, and now I'm wondering about the orange color. Between ORANGE BLOSSOM TRAIL and PORT ORANGE, which of the two do you think has the brightest color? In his description, Dan described PORT ORANGE as sort of a new and improved ORANGE BLOSSOM TRAIL, which is why I decided to go with PORT ORANGE. So Dot, since you have them both, is there one you prefer over the other, and why? (I know -- essay question!)

Well I personally like OBT the best and if you are into hybridizing OBT is sinfully pod fertile. I did get a few pods on Port Orange. I think OBT is a little more of an intense orange. I think the eye is greener on Port Orange. Hope that helps a bit. I think OBT may be a bit cheaper now. I love his Parrots of the Caribbean, it is also very pod fertile, as is Parrot Moon.

I love Dan's oranges and have quite a few of them. One of my very favorites is TEQUILA MOCKINGBIRD. This is not my best photo since I don't have my external hard drive hooked up to my laptop right now.
