What is the name of the noxious rose that grows in the wild?
I think there is one growing on or near my property.
I need the name to ID it.
How do I completely destroy it?

First, you better determine whose property its on.

You can cut it back to about 6 inches tall and paint the stems with full strength brush killer.

yippee: yes pretty sure that`s it!
Daisy: not sure where the property line is, somebody moved the marker. it`s hard to get the state park to come look at one of their problems. I`m going to go now and get a better look at the situation.

I would be inclined to kill it anyway. Don't they say that it is easier to ask forgiveness than permission?

Congratulations are in order! I hit the jack-pot!
Not one but THREE, 6 foot tall with 2feet of elegant arching!
And yes on my property line not the state park side.
KILL! KILL! KILL!
Good don`t need to deal with the park people.
Lop off to 2feet,apply round-up with brush to stems, wait two weeks, recut stems back to 1foot, reply round-up with brush.
Will that do it?

No spraying, water near by
No burning, woods too close.

If Roundup does not work, try Remedy - it will. ( You might have to buy it at a farm/feed store.)

It's an official noxious weed here, meaning you must remove it.
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
