Hello Plumi friends!

I found this 3Ft tall Plumeria tucked away in a local nursery. I gave them $5, brought it home and planted it. This was roughly two weeks ago. The 4 leaves are yellowish/brown as you can see. I live in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It's warm, tropical all year around.
Do you think I should cut her or should I wait a little?

I would wait until spring.

Quick update. She must have heard me and quickly pushed out 5 leaves... and this in November

I've been searching this forum & elsewhere... loads of advice on what to do with cuttings, but I can't find the answer to a simple very newbie question...

When you take a cutting, what happens to the plant it was cut from? Does it simply regrow? Does it branch from where it was cut?

I have a tall single-stem Scott Pratt and would like to share it with a friend and hopefully get it to branch. I don't expect mine to flower this year after being cut, just want to know how it will grow afterwards.

It will usually grow one or more new branches from the old leaf scars. Here is a good example.

Yep yep, just like that. Here is an example of one of mine that I cut a branch off of last year. It put off two branches, which you can see as little "starts" coming from right below the cut.

OK, thanks! Sounds like it won't hurt mine to cut it, but cutting off the top may or may not make it branch. Maybe I'll wait and see if it branches after it flowers this year.
