I went outside this morning because I was hoping this would open and sure enough - it held off so I could post a November bloom!
Going Bananas and there are more to come on it if the weather holds!!

The only plant blooming here is Stella de Oro. I took this pic this morning, it's not a great picture but I was in a hurry.
Here nights are cold and not much sun on the garden (from autumn to spring it gets 2 hours of sun), I dug up, divided (badly) the clump, replanted and this baby never stopped to bloom. Love it.

I wish all the other cultivars would act like this!

Thanks Ginny,
The weather has been so nice and warm here. I have a few more scapes and buds on some of the Maryott's plants. But, I'm afraid that my dormants aren't getting enough cold weather to perform well next spring..

November blooms.. harumph!
Color me green nodding

I do have a scape up on Paul Aucoin (from Maryott's in October)- I yanked off all but one bud... I don't think it's gonna bloom though. I don't think it's getting enough sun. Ah well...

Next spring... Sighing!

Diana, at this point I might say 'you never know!...'

My Sir Blackstem appeared to halt budding a week or so ago after we got a frost. I was surprised yesterday with a bud...a less than ideal one, but still pretty. And that clump is in the shade nearly the entire day thanks to the shifting angle of the sun, so.... there's hope for your daylily, too!

DND,
I will take that hope and see what happens! It would be a nice surprise this late in the season....

A bloom for hope. These pictures of Sir Blackstem were taken today, but I think the bloom actually started yesterday, slow to fully open thanks to the weather and shade.

Bitsy currently have seven scapes plus the earlier ones loaded with pods. Along with Autumn King they are the most fertile in my garden.

I think if the weather will hold just a few more days I might get an open bloom on 'Gossip Girl'.

I don't think the buds on 'Cherry Ice Cream Smile' are far enough along to actually open this season before the colder weather sets in.

Wow, amazing blooms in Nov! How do you still manage to get blooms in your zone 5? Frost has totally killed all the buds on my scapes.

My Going Bananas opened another bloom today and the blooms have been lasting a little longer than a day. The pictures all look the same so I didn't take another one Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes.
