'Bright Sunset' has been acceptable for me, but not particularly "bright" in that I had only 2 blooms in its first year. It was a tiny 2" scape back in April, but it did grow to bloom size by July. Bloom size is registered as 6" and its blooms were 4" at most. Its not one I can put down as a loser, though, as this is its first year. We'll have to wait and see how the dormancy plays out this winter and give it some time to grow to maturity.

This is one of my favorite daylilies - the bloom are so big and bright. I've got it tucked away in my "wild zone" where I forget it even exists until the giant blooms pop up out of the tall grass and catch my eye. It has done well in an area that gets only neglect.

Bright Sunset does well here despite the terrible location under a tree and very dry. Lots of early spring blooms. So bright and cheery.
