Gee, that's all?? That would be a full day for me. Especially with this clay that I have.

We had to leave the house today and on the way back to the house we had to stop for ibuprofen because we KNEW we were going to need it I think just maybe that tomorrow will be a little slow getting around

I would be immobile, you must be superwoman. What a huge accomplishment. You are going to have some amazing fruit salads next summer!
@pepper23, we have clay in this state too. By the time you get the area amended and reasonably workable, the plant kitty is a little slim. But it sure is worth it. I feel for you.

A boring day? Wow. What does a busy day look like? You have a lovely space to garden with though. You will enjoy the "fruits" of your labor in the next few years or so.

Everything here is frozen. Can't do squat.

Well, we all woke up and were able to move around so it was a success

We are sitting 70's to 80's so it wasn't too bad. Just wish the wind would have blown just a little.
We have been here for 2 1/2 months and this is our first chance of getting things in the ground. I can't believe how much sand we have!! Not sure how the trees are going to do.

I do not think we could have chosen a better day to plant trees.

We have not had much rain at all over the last month or so. We planted the trees on Saturday and watered them down and then last night we had our first good storm come through and gave our little guys another good soaking. Plus I think we are at 50% today!

I thought you were going to say "and a Partridge in a Pear Tree".

It's a great time plant trees in the Houston area! A cool front came through and I think we might be able to say, "it's officially fall"? One can only hope.

@RickCorey ...oh no no no sorry, I didn't mean that literally - More like ..After we had planted everything that day we were counting up our trees and naming what we we planted and at the end of it I sang out "And A Partridge In A Pear Treeeeeeeeeee"

We're not crazy, per se. We just think along the same lines ... the kinds of lines used to create Möbius strips and Kline bottles.

I have to admit my thoughts went there too. In addition it took a lot of "boring" to make all of those planting holes!
