Found this growing in a clients yard, in Marin Co., CA It is growing very low to the ground, it is less than a foot wide and not a fast-grower. Is it anything special? :)

So far the plants you have posted are all California natives. They are also all considered Chaparral plants. I recognize this one as a Chaparral plant also but the name is eluding me at the moment.
