I recently acquired four new Lenten Roses; only one of which is in the ground. Our temps for the past two days have been between 77° - 82°. TONIGHT it is supposed to go down to 29°!!!! The covered the plant that is in the ground with a frost blanket. The three that were not in the ground yet, we brought into the house. I realize these are winter plants but if they are not in the ground and with the sudden drastic temperature drop, would they survive outside? Does the one that is in the ground need a frost blanket? I don't want to lose my babies!!!

It should probably be fine, but if you can easily put a covering over it until tomorrow it looks like you are going to have warmer temps for the next 10 days allowing it to get a little more established.

They are great plants!

They will be just fine without any protection. I worked at a plant nursery for 7 years and we sold a lot of those. We never covered or brought them in. we had them in 1 gallon pots. And we have big temperature drops.
