I might be totally wrong but something about it reminds me of a type of Sundew. Can you get a photo that is more in-focus?

That was my first thought too. The purple color and lack of evident moisture are confusing if it is.

The only native Drosera I know of is Drosera angelica and it looks nothing like that.

At first glance I thought that, too, but no sundew could survive in soil like that, let alone it being WAY too dry! The hairs would never be white, there is not enough of them and they are not nearly long enough, either.

I believes that is an asteraceae, could be some type of Emilia spp, some have purplish leaves and hairy, could also other member of aster family though. wait until bit larger, usually leaves will change in both color and form, and better ID will be easier with flower.

I was thinking maybe Brassicaceae, they tend to be rosette-forming and to have purpling. The closest I've found, but still not quite a match, is Streptanthus cordatus. It has the sparsely toothed leaf margins and somewhat winged petioles of the ID plant (not quite spatulate I think?) but it doesn't have all the hairs of the ID plant. Here's a pic in case it gives someone a lead:

Tofitropic may be right about Asteraceae, it rather looks like a purpled Sonchus seedling:

Agree with Sooby, it does similar with sonchus. At first actually I think it was some kind of Emilia sonchifolia the "sonchus"-leaved emilia (lilac tassel flower), which are common in my area, but I don't know what species is common in OP's area.

I think it is in the sonchus family, thank you all who responded.
I've yet to see a purple one in any of the plant databases I searched. My friend definitely found one unique weed😊
