Welcome! That is a beautiful plant. Is it a Dieffenbachia? My mom used to have huge ones like that, and I still have a plant of it that she grew, but mine has been cut back many times so it's small now. Yours is a beauty! It obviously loves the place you have it by the window.

Your plant is different from mine. I don't know the species of either one. They're all very good for houseplants.

Each pot i put a small ceramic "Angel " facing the middle on the plant and every Friday i put one cup of water in the pot which includes half on the "Angel. Then once a month i spin the pot rotating the leaves in font of the window, Mainly, i barely crack the window blinds because the sun will burn it due to constant exposure.

Hi & welcome!

Your plant is incredible! Enjoyed seeing it very much.

Your pics would make a wonderful addition to the database here, if you feel like adding them. There are more specific entries, if a more specific name is known, but if not known, this entry can collect pics of any/all Diefs.

Yes, i would love to enter the Dieffenbachia in the data base, I'm completely new to the plant world, im really a Hot Rod Car guy, but i found inner Peace & Confidence in the plant world & love it, the only other plant i have is one that i got from Lowes for free that they were throwing away because it looked completely dead .I dont know the name of it but i think the "Angeles is looking over this one too. Crossing Fingers!

That's a variety of cordyline, commonly called the Hawaiian Ti Plant. Possibly 'Red Sister' which is a common one the big box stores often carry. The brighter light, the more pinks & reds you will see come out in the leaves. Care is similar to your deiffenbachia.

Agree, a Cordyline fruticosa cultivar:
Ti Plant (Cordyline fruticosa)

I'm so glad you discovered plants & shared these beauties with us. Apparently they love you very much. Keep up the great growing!
