A vigorous grower and appealing shade of light yellow. Sturdy scapes.

I planted VG last Fall, in 2021. This season it still had 3 fans and only bloomed from July 8-20 with 5 blooms. I assume the plant is establishing itself, and I'll see more out of it next year. I have to admit to buying it for the name!

I have had this for several years, it has not grown much and has had few blooms, I see other's pics look nice though. Maybe I need to move it to a different spot in the garden, perhaps it doesn't like it's company!

2023 update…Vanilla Gorilla went to town this year, blooming from July 11- August 4 with at least 42 blooms. It ended the season with 10 fans, the last time I counted was Spring of 2022, when it had 3 fans. So, good increase! Great shape to the blooms, and I like the pale yellow color.
