The 2011 "Hog Wild Piggy Swap" is about to start over in "Ella's Garden" in cubits!

Ella (starlight1153) is the host, assisted by tcs1366 and Lebug.

The actual requesting starts NOVEMBER 14th,
but it is good to sign up and post your Have list sooner.
There will be some upper limit on the number of participants.

HAVE lists: - http://cubits.org/ellasgarden/... ("browse all entries")

If you aren't already a cubits member, it is best to sign up a week or two early, like now) so that you have unlimited c-mail privileges by the time the swap starts. cubits is free, another gift from Dave and Trish, and the sign-up process is really easy and fast. http://cubits.org/

I think it is a great swap, and you get to request the exact, specific seeds you want from many people's "Have" list. Check out the "HAVE" lists already posted! They are a very generous bunch. Even if you only offer a few seeds yourself, you can ask for up to 100 trades ... and will get back a total of 100 pkts unless you say explicitly "only the ones I asked for, please!"

BTW:
"Disaster Survivors are those folks who from the past year have had fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes , or other natural disasters and have lost their gardens and need to rebuild."

"Disaster Survivors, it is our hope that you will please join in and allow us to share our extra seeds to help you rebuild your gardens. Survivors will not be required to contribute any seeds, but rather let regular swappers be their Piggy Seed Fairies. So, Survivors please let me know who you are, and let us know what kind of seeds you would like to have."

also:
"After everybody is taken care of, if there are still any seeds left that nobody wants, they will go to any communities or any other charitable organization that will benefit from them. Let no seed go to waste! is our motto. : )"

Right now I know that I will have different varieties of heirloom tomato seeds. Will be checking in a few days to see what extra I have. Right now I want to get wood chips on my lily beds before we are undaunted with that white stuff.

>> heirloom tomato seeds

Cool!

I just cleaned a lot of Daikon radish seed-pods, Snow Pea Pods, and yellow California poppies, but all had some moldy or blackend pods so that I don't think I should trade those around.

But I have lots of extras from big commercial packs that are clean enough to trade.

I should mention that Ella's swap is closed now.

A fine time was had by all.
