Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Tutankhamun')

Small flower, short scape, so keep it where it can be seen. The flower is a beauty, the bi-color on these is very rich, with each color having very good saturation. Flowers are very nicely fragrant as well. Bud counts are on the low side. It is pod and pollen fertile. Seems to be a strong grower for me, showing a modest increase fairly quickly. All in all, a good plant if you can look past the low bud counts. This flowers unique beauty gets me past that.

I love this daylily and it's very vigorous here in Bakersfield. During the summer months the blooms become quite pastel, and I often get polys too!

Nice front of garden(short) bicolor with saturated color that draws your eye to it. No stats on fertility as I have never tried pod or pollen.
Just moved it this fall for the first time so I can report next year how it handles that.

I have had this one for years. In spite of the low bud count, I will always grow it. It is an early bloomer for me and frequently polys for me. It is certainly a front of the border plant. It was gifted to me by a friend as I had never heard of this one and he said that I need to grow it. I concur. It is nice to have an early that is not yellow or orange.
