Any help identifying this shrub / hedge would be much appreciated.

In case the photo quality makes it difficult, the fruit are like mini "snow balls".

I agree, it does look like the fruit of Snowberry:
Common Snowberry (Symphoricarpos albus)
Smooth Snowberry (Symphoricarpos albus var. laevigatus)
Snowberry (Symphoricarpos mollis)
