I will confess and give you a laugh.... when I was in my early 20's I made my first trip to Texas to meet my ex husbands grandparents. Well when I saw my first guinea hen...... honey I thought that was the biggest quail I'd ever seen!!!!!!!! Cause you know everything is bigger in Texas!!!! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing D'Oh!

That's a funny story, and believable because guineas bear more than a superficial resemblance to quail, and they are way bigger.

I lived in Fort Worth for many years, and it was HOT. The Texas weathermen wouldn't say a day was hot unless the daytime temperature got into the triple digits. And it did frequently. As you say, everything is bigger in Texas.

Yes Texas is hot but here in SC we have our fair share of the triple digit days to!! Ugh! Sighing!
